At NXT TakeOver 31, KUSHIDA squared off against Velveteen Dream in a singles match. It was a hard-fought match where both competitors gave it their all in order to come out the victor.
In the end, it was KUSHIDA who won the match via submission. Following the match, the Japanese Superstar seemingly turned heel. It seems he displayed a more aggressive side to him that fans never saw before.
KUSHIDA turned back towards him and decimated Velveteen Dream. He simply did not stop the assault on Dream as the commentary team signified the change in his demeanor.
We will have to see how he will be booked following this heel turn.
