Kyle O’Reilly Neck Injury ‘Concern’ At NXT Revealed

Kyle O’Reilly has released a statement on why he was stretchered out at the end of WWE NXT last night.

“Thanks everyone for checking in, your love and support truly means the World. I was placed on a stretcher last night out of concern for my neck after receiving a brainbuster on the steps. Thankfully I can move around somewhat OK today but I may need some time to heal.

As much as that hurt and sucked last night, the betrayal was worse. Coming back from this stronger and with a thirst for revenge. Best served cold.”

O’Reilly was recently attacked by Adam Cole, who also attacked NXT Champion Finn Balor. Balor revealed on After The Bell why he doesn’t feel like a veteran in NXT, “I don’t feel in any way that I’m a ‘vet’ in a sense. I know I’ve been around a little while in terms of the business, but with regards to WWE, I feel like I’m a rookie, like an up-and-comer. I still feel like I have a lot to prove. I need to prove that every night against every different talent in the ring.”

“You know I’ve proved it against Roman, and I proved it against Seth, and I proved it against Lashley, and you know, I wanna prove it against all the talent, whether it’s on RAW, SmackDown, NXT.”

“I thrive on that challenge and I want to push myself, now, to the limits while I can. You know, because I’m sure, in a couple of years, the speed that I’m moving at will have to slow down a little bit.”

“So if I can get as much of those matches under my belt right now, and learn from that and grow from that, that’s what I want to do.”
