This week’s SmackDown saw the long-awaited return of Lacey Evans to the ring after a month-long absence. However, her return wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. Evans teamed up with Xia Li in a tag team match against Shotzi and Natalya, with the chance to qualify for the Fatal Four-Way competition at WrestleMania on the line.
The match was a short one, lasting less than four minutes. Natalya ultimately locked Li in a sharpshooter, picking up the victory for her team. But, it was a particular spot in the match that caught the attention of wrestling fans online.
During the match, Lacey Evans dragged Shotzi to her corner, but failed to tag out and exited the ring. This resulted in an embarrassing botch for Evans and Li. However, Evans quickly realized the mistake and made the tag while being on the outside of the ring.
The clip of the botch quickly made its way around social media, with many fans expressing their disappointment in the mistake. Despite the botch, it’s good to see Evans back in action, and hopefully, she’ll continue to improve and have better matches in the future.
