Lacey Evans made her return to WWE television with a noticeable change in her gimmick, which received a mixed response from fans and critics alike. However, there is more to this situation than meets the eye, and it seems that Evans has unintentionally stirred up some backstage controversy.

Reports have stated that despite her comeback, WWE had no plans to push Lacey Evans in a significant way. Now, it appears that her actions have not only affected her career prospects but also upset the daughter of a WWE Hall of Famer.

Evans garnered attention by adopting the look of Sgt Slaughter, a legendary WWE figure. This move did not sit well with Sgt Slaughter’s daughter, who took shots at Evans on social media. In response, the Lady of WWE fired back with a shady tweet directed at Sgt Slaughter’s daughter.

Surprisingly, Lacey Evans wasn’t finished with her jabs at Sgt Slaughter’s family. She tossed another insult their way, further escalating the tension. However, these actions may not bode well for Evans when it comes to her future bookings in WWE.

Wrestle Votes, a reputable source for insider information, shed some light on the situation through their Twitter account. According to their tweet, WWE had initially approached Sgt Slaughter to appear alongside Lacey Evans in January. The plan was for Sgt Slaughter to play a role in Evans’ return vignettes, teaching and passing down his famous Cobra Clutch move as part of the storyline. However, Sgt Slaughter vehemently denied any involvement in the project.
