On the latest episode of the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Show” on RussosBrand.com, host Billi Bhatti and former WWE writer Vince Russo, discussed how WWE plans to use Charlotte Flair into WrestleMania 37, with Bhatti discussing how the plan was for Charlotte to face Lacey Evans for the Women’s Championship.
Ironically enough, Charlotte vs. Asuka for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship was the original plan before the Royal Rumble according to Bhatti. With Lacey Evans being pregnant and the real father being revealed, this plan is out the window, so perhaps the original Charlotte vs. Asuka match could be the plan.
In other news revolving Charlotte Flair, in speaking to Sports Illustrated recently, the former multi-time Raw and Smackdown Woman’s champion revealed how time off from the company back during the months of June to December last year was beneficial to her moving forward as a competitor. She told the outlet the following. Charlotte reacts to newly leaked Ric Flair affair photo.
Charlotte: “It was most beneficial just to decompress and not be on. I left my robe, I left my gear, I left my boots, and just tried to be human instead of being so wrapped up in every second and every moment. I’m always so overcritical of myself. Here’s the thing—if people ever think they’re hard on me, I’m 10 times harder on myself.”
Flair continued: “It took me a few weeks. When you’re so used to that lifestyle and the go-go-go, at first it was like, ‘I don’t need to be somewhere? They don’t need me? The show still goes on?’ I’ve never really talked about this with other performers, so I don’t know if they feel this, but everyone is replaceable to an extent. You know what I mean? There will never be another Charlotte, but there will be a place for another Charlotte. Does that make sense?”
