In a recently hosted Q&A session on Twitter, All Elite Wrestling’s newest signee Lance Archer was asked on who he felt is ‘The King of Strong Style’. Archer, without any hesitation, responded by claiming that the title is held by Shinsuke Nakamura, however, ‘The Muderhawk Monster’ did add that he wouldn’t hold himself back in fighting Nakamura for that title.
During his tenure with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Nakamura had established himself as ‘The King of Strong Style, courtesy of his hard-hitting and stiff style of wrestling. Having shared the ring with some of the notable names from the New Japan roster, including Archer, Nakamura sure did establish his legacy in the Japanese wrestling circuit.
Archer, who prior to signing with AEW, was also a part of the NJPW roster and in his recent Twitter Q&A, stated the following:
Well. @ShinsukeN claims it. But I’d challenge him for it.

As of now, the former IWGP US Champion will look to focus on his rivalry with Cody Rhodes in AEW, as Archer prepares for his AEW in-ring debut which is scheduled for the upcoming episode of Dynamite.
