Latest backstage news on Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract

Prior to his clearance reports had revealed that Daniel Bryan’s current WWE contract expires sometime in September this year and Bryan had spoken about possibly leaving the company if they didn’t clear him to compete.

Though after his in-ring return, everyone thought that the former SmackDown General Manager will be staying with the company after his current contract ends.

Although now a new report from Wrestling Observer reveals that the things are not set in stone yet and Daniel has yet to sign a new contract with WWE to keep him around after his current deal expires.

It’s worth mentioning here that during a Talk Is Jericho episode prior to the Greatest Royal Rumble, Bryan had revealed that he had not discussed his schedule with the Officials till then and they were just putting him into shows one after another.

Since Bryan has said before that he would wanna have a lighter schedule when he returns to the ring, it’s possible that he is currently negotiating a deal where he doesn’t have to wrestle as much as before.
