There haven’t been many people in WWE or anywhere else for that matter who have meant more to the Make-A-Wish Organization than John Cena. Big Match John has granted more Make-A-Wishes than anyone else and his influence on the amazing organization just keeps growing.
Toys R Us will be releasing a limited edition John Cena action figure and a portion of the proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish.
The action figure will feature John Cena in his signature red, white, blue, stars and stripes ring gear.
Along with the pre-sale of the action figure, now through July 31, Toys“R”Us is putting on a social media fundraiser to benefit Make-A-Wish America. For every retweet or share of their #GivingIsAwesome tweets, the company plans to donate $1 to the organization. They are setting aside up to $25,000 for this promotion as well which is pretty awesome.
Toys R US will also be holding another fundraising opportunity in late August when five John Cena autographed action figures will be auctioned on eBay. 100% of revenue generated through the online auction is set to benefit Make-A-Wish.
“Having the opportunity to meet Alex and witness first-hand his vision behind the action figure was an incredible experience,” John Cena said. “There is nothing more humbling than a child who could ask for anything in the world asking to meet me, and I will continue to grant wishes as long as I am asked.”
“At Make-A-Wish, we have heard over and over again how wishes have the power to bring families and communities closer together for the better,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish America president and CEO. “This is a case where wishes have inspired three of our sponsors to work collaboratively to bring the life-affirming nature of a wish to more wish kids, and we could not be more excited.”
So get them while you can, because these special edition John Cena action figures might be gone before you know it.
