Lio Rush is going through hard times as of late, as he is unlikely to return to the main roster for a while now. He reportedly had his wife backstage with him all the time. Finn Balor tried to reason with him but that conversation did not go well at all.
PW Insider reports that another WWE Superstar who is also a veteran tried to speak to Rush about those issues during the November 2018 European tour. It was noted that veteran was someone else and not Finn Balor.
As was the case with Finn Balor, the conversation between Rush and the veteran did not go well either. So it seems that Lio Rush simply wasn’t open to talking about anyone else’s opinion on how he is perceived backstage in WWE.
Another veteran talent (not Finn Balor) attempted to speak to Rush about his issues, only to be rebuffed and told by Rush that he, “works for Vince, not you.”
The veteran was reportedly approached by WWE management due to Lio Rush complaining about the conversation. The report states that since that veteran was not part of WWE management, he did not have any right to talk to Rush about those matters.
Rush said the veteran in question was his equal and not superior. Once this came to be known backstage, Lio Rush was removed from the locker room for a time following the tour.
When word of that made the rounds, it led to Rush being removed from the locker room for a period of time after that tour and that point, his issues became less of a regular occurrence in the locker room. In recent weeks, that has changed.
So it seems Rush got a treatment similar to what Enzo Amore got. Hopefully, Lio Rush is able to resolve his issues with the company and returns to work.
