Liv Morgan doesn’t have a WrestleMania match, but another big name does. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has been slated to make his in-ring return at WrestleMania 38 shocked the fans. Given that he is 76-years-old he might not be taking any bumps. Several reports have emerged regarding Vince’s comeback to the squared circle.
On this week’s episode of SmackDown, WWE announced that the chairman and CEO of the company will be making a rare appearance on The Pat McAfee Show next Thursday.
Post Wrestling reported that this might not be a one-off appearance for McMahon as he is expected to ignite a feud with McAfee leading to WrestleMania. While it has not been confirmed, Vince could be working a match with the former NFL star and ‘most likely that this will be billed as a match for the Show of Shows.
A report emerged from Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer which states that the match between Vince and McAfee is reportedly listed in the internal schedule for WrestleMania 38. Meltzer tweeted:
“As of last night, Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee was listed as a match on the internal schedule for WrestleMania.”
Vince McMahon is unlikely to take bumps at WrestleMania 38
In an update, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that although the 76-year-old WWE Chairman will be advertised for a match at the Showcase of Immortals, he is not expected to take any bumps in what will be a “complete smoke and mirrors event.”
Meltzer noted that the match “was confirmed to be on the books for the [WrestleMania] lineup” as on Sunday evening. WWE WrestleMania 38 will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
