The YouTube sensation Logan Paul is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Saudi Arabia event, Crown Jewel 2022. ‘The Maverick’ had also called out Roman Reigns to a press conference during the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. ‘The Tribal Chief’ made his presence felt at last night’s Las Vegas press conference. It was the WWE Chief Content officer Triple H, who made the match official for the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.
Following the conference, Paul spoke to Fight Hub TV and was asked about possibly fighting boxers. When the name of Manny Pacquiao was popped, he said it was on the table but he rejected it. He said[as transcribed by [Wrestling-Edge]:
“I said no. I will not be the guy who will fight retired boxers. I did that once. Now, I’m gonna wrestle a guy in his prime.”

Paul did some trash talk during the conference and found it “pathetic” that Roman Reigns needed the support of the entire Bloodline faction at the event. While The Tribal Chief was flanked by his crew, Logan Paul was all alone in his corner as he delivered one of the coolest lines at the press conference by mentioning his girlfriend, Nina Agdal.
While Logan Paul knew Roman Reigns was underestimating his challenge, he also sensed some apprehension in the Samoan star’s demeanor:
“I know this guy is underestimating me,” said Logan Paul. “Look at him; he brought five guys. That’s pathetic! He brought a team of people. I’m here by myself with my girlfriend. And my manager and videographer!”
