Major Summerslam match cancelled

WWE Summerslam will be taking place this Sunday and the company was building towards a match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the event. However, it seems that match will not be happening anymore.

According to a report by PW Insider, owing to the fact that WWE was unable to conclude the storyline between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, their match will not be taking place at Summerslam.

Originally, the Summerslam card was to have featured Roman Reigns against Daniel Bryan, but the word making the rounds at TV last night was that the bout will likely be dropped in order to let the current storyline play out.

The blame for the attacks on Roman Reigns fell on Rowan this past week on Smackdown Live. However, this direction is not concrete yet according to the report.

It is expected that the two will continue to feud past Summerslam, so they will have a match at a later pay-per-view. It will be interesting to see how WWE further develops their feud.
