According to NYC1, Federal law enforcement authorities took into custody Tracy Marie Fiorenza, a 41-year-old resident of Plainfield, Illinois, on Monday following a complaint outlining allegations that she had been sending threatening emails aimed at former President Donald Trump and his son Barron. The arrest was executed by federal agents and was in response to a charge related to transmitting threats with the intention to cause harm or even kill. These details were confirmed by the U.S. attorney’s office based in Chicago.
The legal case had been initiated earlier this month in the U.S. District Court located in southern Florida. However, the relevant documents were only unsealed this week, providing insight into the nature of the accusations. Fiorenza’s arrest occurred on Monday morning, sparking interest and attention due to the nature of the allegations and the involvement of a former U.S. president.
One of the emails, reportedly sent on May 21, contained a chilling statement attributed to Fiorenza: “I will state that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!” This message had been directed at the head of an educational institution in the Palm Beach, Florida area. It is worth noting that Donald Trump’s primary residence is in Palm Beach, which adds a layer of concern to the threat.
The criminal complaint goes on to detail another email that Fiorenza allegedly composed on June 5. In this communication, she reportedly wrote that she would “slam a bullet” into Barron Trump “with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!” This second email, if proven true, paints a disturbing picture of her intentions.
The U.S. Secret Service was actively involved in the investigation, and an affidavit submitted by one of its agents accompanied the complaint. The details of the emails, including their menacing content, were presented to Fiorenza during an interview at the agency’s Chicago field office on June 14.
At this point, no information has been provided about Fiorenza’s legal representation, raising questions about how she will choose to address the allegations against her. As of the time of her arrest, she was anticipated to appear in a Chicago court for her initial hearing, but it is speculated that she might eventually be transferred to the district court in Florida, where the charges were originally filed.
