The reigning WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose recently sent a message to Persia Pirotta following her release from WWE. It was previously reported how the company recently released a handful of stars from NXT, including Dakota Kai. Alongside the former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, Harland, Dexter Lumis, Raelyn Divine, Draco Anthony, Vish Kanya, Mila Malani, and others have also been let go.
Taking to Twitter, Rose broke character to send a heartfelt message to Pirotta by quoting a tweet from the latter.

Pirotta signed with WWE in March 2021 and made her NXT debut as Indi Hartwell’s friend. As per the same storyline, Pirotta flew from Australia to attend the InDex wedding. She began competing as an active in-ring performer in October 2021 and was also paired up with Johnny Gargano’s former faction, The Way. She was also seen on-screen heavily and was recently paired with Duke Hudson.
It turns out those working behind the scenes on NXT 2.0 had no clue of incoming releases and had no option but to drop entire storylines and feuds. Dexter Lumis had been a high-profile part of NXT towards the end of 2021 when he was married on-screen to Indi Hartwell. Lumis competed in his last match on the brand on the 19th of April where he and Duke Hudson unsuccessfully challenged Pretty Deadly for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
On the most recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about what he has been hearing. Some within WWE believe that more names are coming. Whether that news will break any time soon or at all is anyone’s guess.
“There’s people in the company who think that [the ten names] that’s not it. I’ve heard rumblings about more, but who knows? Some of these, obviously, were blindsided because you can just watch the TV and see Dexter Lumis and Persia Pirotta, and who was the other one? Malcom Bivens.”
It was earlier reported that John Laurinaitis, who is the WWE Head of Talent Relations sent an internal mail to inform the talents about the release.
