Manny ‘Pac Man’ Pacquiao suprused the combat sports world on Monday by annoucing his retirement from the sport of boxing. While the move can be seen an unexpected one, Pacquiao certainly has good reason for it. Aside from having a lengthy career which began in 1995, Pacquiao is currently looking to advance his political career in his home country of the Phillippines. “My boxing career is over. I’ve been boxing for a long time, and my family would always tell me it’s time to stop. I was a kid selling bread before. If I told you I’d be world champion and known all over the world? You’d say that seems impossible,”
The legendary boxer however will not be walking away from the sport a poor man as according to Celebrity Net Worth, Manny Pacquiao’s current net worth is an estiminated 220 million dollars. Pacquiao’s last professional fight was against Cuba’s Yordenis Ugás in August – a fight which Pacquiao lost.
