WWE SummerSlam will end early due to Manny Pacquiao fight

The card for the show is stacked up but a few of those matches are likely to run a bit short so fans can exit Allegiant Stadium in time to make it to a big boxing match that is in the same town. Big Show Reveals Hulk Hogan Claim Before AEW

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that he was told two different times by sources within WWE. One personal apparently told Alvarez that Las Vegas told WWE they needed to have their big event over by 11:00 PM EST. SummerSlam starts at 8:00 PM EST with a kickoff show starting an hour sooner.

The general idea is that WWE will get the show over with by around 11:00 to 11:30 PM EST because Manny Pacquiao’s return to boxing is actually a huge event.

“I’ve had two different sources telling me a different time that the show is going to go off the air. I had one insisting that the show is going to end at 8:30, but I have been told and I’ve been told for a while that the city of Vegas wants the show over by 8:00 Pacific, 11:00 eastern so people can get out and get to the boxing event.”

Manny Pacquiao’s return to boxing is huge affair and many fans will want to attend that event. It seems SummerSlam willbe over in time for that big fight, and that means fans will be in for a much shorter SummerSlam than they’re used to.
