Matt Hardy’s WWE contract expired on March 1st and he is officially a free agent. So he will be able to sign with any wrestling promotion he wants to.
According to a report by Brad Shepard, Matt Hardy is signing with All Elite Wrestling. Rumors previously suggested Hardy would sign with AEW and if the report is to be believed, that is exactly what will happen.
Matt Hardy was written off WWE television after Randy Orton decimated him on RAW. He then teased fans with videos suggesting he would go to various promotions.
As reported earlier, WWE offered him a position in NXT if he decided to sign with the company. It seems that will no longer be happening.
Matt Hardy also took to Twitter and posted a tweet that implied he will be taking his skills elsewhere. Perhaps we will see him join forces with The Dark Order in AEW, which has been rumored for a while now.
Much like #BrotherNero’s 2016 attempt to destroy me led to the first coming of my #BROKENBrilliance..
How ironic is it the Randy Orton’s 2020 attempt to destroy me would initiate the SECOND COMING of my #BROKENBrilliance? To Dr. RKO, I say…
