Matt Hardy responds to Jeff Hardy DWI, WWE issues statement

Over the weekend, Jeff Hardy was arrested for driving while impaired. The Charismatic Enigma blew a .25 on his breathalyzer test, which is three times the legal limit. Hardy also totaled his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, and damages are estimated at around $8,000.

In the official report, Officer Kelemecz stated:

Driver of Vehicle #1 ran off the roadway to the right, in turn striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the car spun around 90 degrees to the left, coming to rest in the middle of the right N lane of travel. The driver was arrested and charged with DWI.

In response to Hardy’s arrest, WWE issued the following statement, mirroring the statement given for Jey Uso back in January.

Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.

Jeff has yet to comment on his arrest, but his brother Matt Hardy took the opportunity to reference it in a tweet on Sunday.

Hardy has been preparing for his in-ring return and it was assumed that he would make his return as “Brother Nero” during the “Ultimate Deletion.”
