The blood feud between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara culminated in a Broken Rules match at AEW All Out. However, things went awry during the match.
In a very dangerous spot, Matt Hardy and Sammy had battled up onto a lift, with a table placed below. Hardy was attempting to hit the side effect on Guevara down to the table, but Sammy countered it into a spear as the two dived off the lift.
Hardy missed the table completely and hit the back of his head on the pavement. He seemingly lost consciousness and the match was called off as Doctor Sampson went to check on him.
Following some downtime, the match was restarted as Hardy chased after Guevara. The two made their way by the stage to a scaffold. Then they went above the stage and the final moments of the match saw Guevara taking a bump off the set and through a platform below.
Mardy was then taken to a hospital following his victory. The belief is that he suffered a concussion. We will keep you updated on his condition.
