Matt Hardy, the former WWE star took a shot at his former employer during this week’s New Year’s Smash Night 1 edition of AEW Dynamite.
Matt Hardy takes a dig at WWE third party platforms ban
WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon had imposed a ban on the stars of the company and prevented them from using third-party platforms such as Twitch and Cameo, from which they were earning money.
This had raised controversy recently and many stars have been vocal about the matter.
During a backstage segment Private Party was intervened by Hardy who appeared as their agent.
After some negotiations and confirmation of the contracts, he noted that he is not a monster who will not allow Private Party to continue on third party platforms such as Twitch and Cameo.
He said:
“I got you covered. I can’t wait for Private Party to be iconic. And you know what? All those 3rd party platform things like Cameo or Twitch…I’m not a monster. You still go that. And they’re very beneficial.”
