Matt Riddle is a name that has been discussed a lot in the past few weeks because of his actions. The Original Bro picked up beef with legends like Goldberg and Brock Lesnar and also had a funny interaction with Randy Orton recently.
Speaking of Orton, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Riddle’s current backstage heat is being compared to a young Randy Orton in the WWE. The report states that Riddle doesn’t quite understand backstage politics and that is reportedly hurting him.
The report notes that the company “doesn’t want” someone like that right now because that would disrupt the harmony of the locker-room.
Despite these reports, Matt Riddle seems to be enjoying his time in NXT, since he and Pete Dunne won the NXT Tag Team titles at NXT TakeOver: Portland. Triple H himself said that Riddle isn’t “in trouble” with Vince McMahon and several other reports state that NXT has given him the green light to keep calling Brock Lesnar out.
