Ronda Rousey was not seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 back in 2019, where she dropped the RAW Women’s Title to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match which also had Charlotte Flair in the mix. Ronda Rousey also showed her backside in a photo with Becky Lynch previously as well.

Since then fans simply did not know whether the Rowdy One would ever return to WWE as they had lost all hope. However, their hope bore fruit in the end.

Rousey, who made her shocking and surprise return to the WWE at the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble premium live event earned herself a shot at a WWE Women’s Championship match against the champion of her choosing at WWE WrestleMania 38.

The former RAW Women’s Champion ended up choosing Charlotte Flair as her opponent. She would then lose to Charlotte Flair at the Showcase of The Immortals as well. Her friendship with Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir led her to signing with WWE as well.

While speaking during the most recent Wives of Wrestling podcast, Ronda Rousey revealed how her bachelorette party led to her signing with WWE.

“Shayna (Baszler) got me to WWE in general and then she started training at the PC. Marina (Shafir) moved there with [Roderick Strong]. I guess I kind of approached them. I had a bachelorette party and I wanted to hang out with the girls, but everyone was in Florida doing wrestling, so I was like, ‘why don’t I come and do wrestling with you guys and we can hang out.’ I didn’t have Triple H’s number or anything, but (I talked with my agent) and was like, ‘What do you think WWE would think if I asked my bachelorette party to spend like a week training over there. It was me, Jessamyn (Duke), and Shayna doing an RV road trip from LA to Florida.’ That was my present to myself. I basically wanted to give myself a tryout. We had so much fun and it was a really good time.”
