Matt Riddle on feeling terrible when he won in MMA

Matt Riddle had a good career in the UFC before he made his way into the world of professional wrestling. He knows what it is like to actually hurt a person, which he is not too fond of.

Riddle spoke to Chasing Glory, where he discussed transitioning from MMA to wrestling. Wrestling is far more enjoyable for him.

Riddle also said that he likes trash talking, but does not want to actually hurt anyone by taking it too far. He compared this to pro wrestling itself, where he gets to fight people, but he is hardly trying to injure anyone or end their careers, unlike in MMA where you actually try to hurt your opponents when fighting them which even directly causes them to earn less or be fired.

Matt said he “felt terrible” winning his last MMA fight. On top of that, he was tired of the MMA fans and cutting weight.

Riddle is scheduled to face Adam Cole for the NXT Championship on the October 2nd episode of NXT, where he has a chance of becoming the new NXT Champion.
