Valerie Loureda recently retired from MMA and has followed the footsteps of Matt Riddle and Ronda Rousey to step foot inside the squared circle. The 24-year-old is adjusting WWE’s style of pro wrestling at the Performance Center these days.
Loureda took to Twitter on Thursday and posted a photo from her trip to the Performance Center. The superstar-in-training can be seen sitting alongside Matt Riddle in the new photo. The Original Bro has taught SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan a few moves in the past as well.
Valerie Loureda has already had her first WWE match and she cannot wait for the world to see how she fared in her WWE debut. It is unknown if the match took place during a house show or NXT Level Up tapings.
Valerie Loureda opens up on switching to pro wrestling
While speaking to Denise Salcedo, Valerie Loureda talked about transitioning from the world of combat sports to professional wrestling. Loureda stated that she feels MMA is easier than pro wrestling:
“I feel like fighting is easier because when you go into a cage, you have one goal and that’s to win or hurt that person. And in WWE, there are so many things going on and you do have to be a true entertainer. For me, the difference is striking but not striking to hurt someone. There are little things like that, but truly I love it. I am truly in love with it. I feel like a white belt again. I am just embracing the process and just getting better every day.”
