Matt Sydal has performed at AEW events on multiple occassions. Now, he has officially signed a deal with the promotion.
Matt Sydal pens down a contract with AEW
Sydal had first appeared at the promotion when he was a surprise entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out.
In the last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, he also had a bout the FTW Champion, Brian Cage.
AEW had revealed on their Twitter handle that they have signed the star. Sydal took to Twitter as well to make the announcement.
He wrote:
“I did not do this alone. My hard work only worked because of the support I get from my family, friends and fans! 20 years of people helping, teaching and believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you all. Onegaishimasu!¡Hagamoslo para el bien de todos!!”

Sydal is a global star who had performed all across the globe in promotions like Impact Wrestling,ROH,NJPW and most popularly as Evan Bourne in WWE.
He has also held IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, ROH World Tag Team Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship, and the Impact X Division Championship.
