Melania Trump Can Get Donald Locked Up If…

On Tuesday, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel used his trademark sarcasm to humorously address former President Donald Trump’s latest legal setback. Trump was fined $9,000 for repeatedly violating a gag order in his ongoing case related to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Kimmel, known for his playful jabs at Trump, took the opportunity to mock the former president’s predicament.

“I don’t think it’s fair,” Kimmel quipped, with his tongue firmly in cheek. “This trial is about the fact that he paid a woman to be quiet. Now, because he’s not quiet, he has to pay them? It makes no sense. They’re using his thing against him.”

Trump has compared himself to Jesus in the context of his legal troubles, suggesting a level of persecution. Kimmel took this comparison to an absurd extreme, saying, “It’s like Jesus, a carpenter, who they nailed to a cross. I mean, think about it.” He added, “Read about it in your Trump-brand Bibles,” referencing the former president’s promotion of customized Bibles.

Kimmel also touched on the implications of Judge Juan Merchan’s warning that further violations of the gag order could lead to jail time for Trump. This opened the door for Kimmel to joke about how Trump’s wife, Melania, might encourage him to break the gag order. “Melania was like, ‘Don’t let the judge tell you what to do. Keep violating. Be a man,’” Kimmel said, suggesting a humorous scenario where Melania nudges Trump toward further trouble.
