Former President Donald Trump’s latest financial disclosure report noted that the income earned by his wife Melania Trump for speaking engagements and her non-fungible token (NFT) licensing agreement via Newsweek.
The documents have been released by the Federal Election Commission and are the first public insight into the former president’s earnings this year. The disclosure is over 250 pages long and lists all of Donald Trump’s income, investments, debts and business interests. There is also a section dedicated to ‘Spouse’s Employment Assets & Income and Retirement Accounts’ on page six of part one of the documents, embedded below.
It is noted that the documents, which have been verified by Newsweek, revealed that Melania Trump pulled in over $237,000 for one speaking engagement in April 2024. The event was an address to Log Cabin Republicans in Palm Beach, Florida. The group describes itself as an organization for “LGBT conservatives and our straight allies.”
Melania Trump had hosted a second fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans at Trump Tower in July 2024. As per Richard Grenell, Trump’s former acting director of national intelligence, the July event raised $1.4 million. However, anything earned by Melania Trump at this event is not listed on the financial disclosures.
It has come to light that the documents also list Melanie Trump as earning $330,607 for a licensing agreement from the Designers Manager for the sale of NFTs. The former first lady launched her NFT site after leaving the White House, with a collection of digital renderings including likenesses of her face and a collection celebrating the Apollo 11 moon landing.
The documents also reveal that a company, named MKT World LLC, has been set up to accommodate speaking engagements and the sale of Melania Trump’s NFTs.
