Melania Trump Picking Big Name Vice President?

A former adviser to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign stated that amid all the speculation about the former president’s 2024 VP pick, the selection may be determined by former First Lady Melania Trump via Mediaite.

It has been noted that on Friday, CNN reported that the ex-president’s running mate shortlist is getting shorter and that Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL), J.D. Vance (R-OH), and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R) top the list.

Burgum was unsuccessful in challenging Trump for the GOP nomination and once stated that he would not do business with the former president. However, like Vance and Rubio – who savagely criticized Trump in the past – Burgum has gone full MAGA.

CNN’s Erin Burnett gave the lay of the land on Friday’s OutFront and asked former Trump campaign adviser David Urban to weigh in.

“So, top three contenders, Vance Burgum, Rubio,” she said. “You’ve got Don. Jr., Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon for Vance. Sean Hannity for Rubio. [Rupert] Murdoch for Burgum. So, in your experience with Trump, who will eventually have the most sway over his pick?”

“Melania Trump,” he replied. “I’d like to know who Melania likes, right? That’s really, you know, probably his closest adviser of all the people who weren’t mentioned, right? I think she has a great deal of influence over her husband and the president… So, it’d be interesting to see who she likes.”

Urban went on to say that the former president solicits input from a variety of sources on such matters and predicted that Trump will announce his running mate right before the Republican National Convention next month.

Trump is set to take on President Joe Biden in a rematch of the 2020 presidential election.
