It was announced earlier this month that WWE had signed independent Superstar Mercedes Martinez to a contract. Martinez has made a name for herself, having achieved several feats outside of the WWE for many years and has performed in the Mae Young Classic as well.
To everyone’s surprise, Martinez made her official WWE debut in the Women’s Royal Rumble match at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Martinez entered at Number 6 and stayed in the match for quite some time.
Things are about to get dangerous.

However, Martinez was eliminated by Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose later on in the match.
Either way, to debut at the Royal Rumble, is a fairly huge deal and the likes of AJ Styles can positively confirm this. It will be interesting to see where Martinez’s career takes her in the WWE henceforth.
