Tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown is already off to a hot start as Sasha Banks opened the show to state it was ‘Boss Time’ on SmackDown and to promise that no one would steal her spotlight ever again. After a recap played showing her turning on and attacking Bianca Belair last week Belair would come out and say Sasha won’t be standing or talking when she gets in the ring. Afterwards, Zelina Vega would come out which would lead into two big match being made. Belair stated that she would face Vega for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship tonight and that she would face ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks later this month at WWE SummerSlam.
However, there was a brief slip-up afterward as while esteemed WWE SmackDown play-by-play voice Michael Cole was confirming the matches on screen he stated, incorrectly that Belair would be be facing Banks on tonight’s edition of SmackDown.
Over on social media via Twitter fans had fun with the unfortunate botch. WomenofWwe_ stated: “Michael Cole botch everything about Bianca Her name, her finishes, who she’s facing like damn Cole get it together!” While fellow WWE fan MoneyManMike321 stated: “Hey @WWE, are you ready to release Michael Cole yet? He can’t even get the match card for a show he’s on right.”
