Michael Elgin leaves New Japan Pro Wrestling

Michael Elgin has decided to part ways with New Japan Pro Wrestling after working for four years with the company.

 


 

The company issued a statement on Elgin’s release which said that Elgin and NJPW both have both mutually decided to part ways “after careful consideration and dialogue.” Elgin’s contract with the company expired on March 31.

“Big Mike” made his debut in 2015 G1 Climax and went on to win the NEVER Openweight and IWGP Intercontinental Championships. Besides these, The 32-year old Canadian is also a NEVER Six-Man Tag Team Champion and winner of the 2017 New Japan Rumble.
