Mick Foley Comments On The Passing Of Jim Dotson

As noted, former WWE Head of Security Jim Dotson passed away on December 10th at the age of 49. The reason for his death is not known at this time, but he passed away suddenly after battling health issues for many years.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley posted this entry on his Facebook page to remember Dotson:

RIP JIM DOTSON

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of former head of WWE security, Jim Dotson, at the age of 49. If there was a wild moment in WWE in the late 90’s, Jim was likely to be keeping a watchful eye on the proceedings; tough to miss, with that massive physique and ever-present leather cap. There was even a joke among the wrestlers – about a guy watching a Stone Cold Steve Austin match, and saying “hey, who’s the bald guy hanging out with Jim Dotson?”

He was a good guy, who took great pride in his job. I always felt safe around Jim Dotson.

Here is his obituary, as listed by Medina Funeral Home in Medina, Tennessee.
