The fans are quite excited for this year’s WrestleMania 38. WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is set to make his return at the ‘Shows of Shows.’ He had been called out by the former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. ‘The Prizefighter’ wants the WWE legend to show up at the marquee event for a face-off. ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ had accepted it and vowed to shut KO. During a recent interview, Austin revealed the reason for returning to the company and seemingly having a match with KO after 19 years of absence from in-ring action.

Steve Austin opens up on his huge return

Austin recently joined in for an Interview on Rich Eisen Show, where he talked about why he decided to return. He was asked what would his response be if he was told he would be part of WrestleMania 38 in some way, to which Austin replied:

“I would have told you that you’re full of something.”

The WWE legend went on to explain that he considered not returning to the squared circle ever again. However, Austin stated that KO ignited a fire that made Austin take a vow for a return. He stated that Owens should have called him out a little sooner. He went on to speak about his training and working on his conditioning.  Given that WrestleMania is such a huge event, Austin can’t say no to that. Here is what he said:

“This opportunity comes up, Kevin Owens starts running me down and gets my attention. It was a thing where, I kind of said, ‘I’m never going to get in the ring again.’ In this business, never say never. I said I would never get in, but prompted by the right person at the right time, hell, I wish he would have pissed me off a little sooner than he did to give me more time to prep. Once you step into the ring, it’s like stepping onto a football field, that’s where business happens.

We don’t know what it’s going to escalate to. I’ve been working on my conditioning. Had it been anywhere else other than Jerry’s Place….it’s a two-night event, WrestleMania is the biggest show of the year, to be part of that is special to me. I’m doing this for me. I’m going out there to have a damn blast. I’m gonna have fun and I’m gonna wear these two fists out on Kevin Owens. I’m sure he’s going to get some too because he’s had an amazing career. I’m glad he pissed me off when he did,” Austin added.

WrestleMania 38 will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT& T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
