Mick Foley talks about how Braun Strowman is backstage

WWE legend Mick Foley took to social media to address Braun Strowman and his elbow injury, besides revealing how the Monster Among Men really is backstage.

Foley lauded the big man’s will to learn whilst asking fans what they think the future holds for the former Wyatt Family powerhouse.

Mick Foley served as the on-screen General Manager of Monday Night RAW from July of last year until he was recently relieved of his duties this March. During his tenure as RAW GM, Foley and Strowman had several heated altercations including the latter kayfabe-threatening him on multiple occasions.

Despite having stepped away from his WWE duties for now, Foley seems to be keeping a watch on the daily grind in the promotion, with Braun Strowman’s aforementioned injury being one of the hottest topics of debate over the past few days. The 33-year old former strongman was apparently due for a big push by WWE, and was scheduled to face Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules this June 4th, following which he would’ve challenged Brock Lesnar for the latter’s Universal championship.

Nevertheless, the WWE’s plans seem to be in shambles as Strowman suffered an elbow injury that was recently diagnosed as much serious, than what it initially appeared. He is reportedly set to miss at least six months of his career due to it, and Mick Foley- who has had more than his fair share of injuries over the course of his career- weighed in on the issue via his official social media account-

SAD NEWS FOR STROWMAN
“I was very sorry to hear that an elbow injury could sideline Braun Strowman for as long as six months. He may have threatened me on a weekly basis when I was GM, but when the cameras were off, he was always eager to learn as much as he possibly could. I wish him a full and speedy recovery, and I hope I get to see that Strowman/Lesnar match at a later date. What do you think the future holds in store for Strowman?” (* Facebook post courtesy Mick Foley)

The WWE has revealed on its official website that Strowman may miss about half a year owing to the recent surgery that he underwent on his shattered elbow- something that was reiterated by current RAW GM Kurt Angle this past Monday night.

Who better to speak about injuries than one of the biggest risk-takers the sport has ever seen- Mick Foley. He took the words out of my mouth by talking about Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar- a matchup that was highly-anticipated, to say the least. Well, right now, there’s not much us fans can do other than pray for the safe and speedy recovery of Mr. Adam Scherr aka Braun Strowman. Get well soon, pal!
