This past Monday on WWE RAW, Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy and handed the RAW Women’s Championship to this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank winner Asuka, who was crowned the new champion.
In the aftermath of her historic win, Asuka posted a tweet and called out potential challengers for her newly won title, as she wrote, “Calling out around the world, Are you ready for a brand new beat?”
Veteran female superstar Mickie James responded to Asuka’s challenge and claimed that she was never “handed” anything in WWE and would be more than happy to take the title from ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’.
Here is what James wrote in her tweet, calling out Asuka for a RAW Women’s Championship match:
Come to think of it @WWEAsuka I’ve NEVER been handed anything in @WWE before, especially a 🏆#WWE Championship… EVER! 🍀 😈 I’d be happy to come OVER & rightfully TAKE it from you. This time you wouldn’t be so lucky. I got your beat, raise you a sweet solo, now let’s duet!😜💋 https://t.co/HG9b09uRjc

Mickie James has previously shared the ring with Asuka, most notably from NXT TakeOver: Toronto back in 2016 when the former unsuccessfully challenged ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ for the NXT Women’s Championship.
