According to Mediaite, former President Donald Trump expressed his dissatisfaction over the recent exoneration of his former Vice President, Mike Pence, in the Department of Justice’s classified documents probe. Trump once again claimed to be an “innocent” victim of a “witch hunt,” echoing his previous assertions.

Although potential criminal charges still hang over the ex-president concerning the classified documents seized from his Mar-a-Lago residence last August, surprising news emerged that classified documents were also found in the possession of President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence.

On Friday, it was reported that the Department of Justice would not pursue criminal charges against Pence. The department’s national security division reportedly concluded its investigation and informed Pence’s attorney that he would not be facing charges. Observers have noted a significant difference between the Pence and Trump documents: the Pence team voluntarily reported the discovery of classified documents and cooperated with the FBI’s search of his Indiana residence, resulting in the discovery of one additional document.

On the other hand, Trump’s legal team issued a certified letter claiming that he no longer possessed any documents, which turned out to be false when the FBI retrieved a substantial number of them from his home, as evidenced by a viral photo.

The conclusion of the DOJ investigation undoubtedly brings relief to Pence, who is set to launch his presidential campaign next week. However, it serves as an annoyance for Trump, who still faces potential criminal charges related to the Mar-a-Lago documents. Additionally, he has been indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, and there is an ongoing investigation by DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith into Trump’s role in the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Trump took to his Truth Social account on Friday morning to express his frustration. In a post, he wrote:

“Just announced that they are not going to bring charges against Mike Pence on the document hoax. That’s great, but when am I going to be fully exonerated? I’m at least as innocent as he is. And what about Joe Biden, who is hiding at least 1850 boxes, some located in Chinatown, DC? When will the witch hunt against ‘TRUMP’ stop?”
