Mike Pence Storms Out Of Hannity After Trump Indicted

According to Mediate, former Vice President and current presidential candidate Mike Pence, a Republican, made headlines when he abruptly canceled his scheduled appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program. According to reports, Pence’s team decided to pull out just 30 minutes before the show’s start time, allegedly to avoid discussing the breaking news of former President Donald Trump’s federal indictment.

Initially, MSNBC reported that Pence and Fox had “mutually” agreed to cancel the interview. However, an inside source revealed to Mediaite that the decision was made by Pence’s team, primarily because they did not want to address questions regarding Trump’s indictment. The source emphasized that the intention of the interview was for Pence to discuss his presidential campaign, but the network insisted on addressing the pressing news.

By the following morning, Pence was ready to engage in conversations again. He appeared on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show, where he offered a standard response to the indictment, expressing the importance of understanding the facts of the case and acknowledging that no one currently possesses that knowledge. Pence voiced his hope that as more information emerges next week, the American people will evaluate whether the high standard necessary for justifying a federal indictment of a former president has been met, particularly when it is initiated by the current president’s Justice Department and potentially involving a political rival.

“Pence’s team canceled the interview at 8:30 PM because they did not want to answer questions about the indictment,” the source said. “He was scheduled to talk about his presidential run. We said we couldn’t not ask about the indictment — it was not a mutual decision to cancel

Well, I think it’s important to know that we don’t know the facts in this case, no one does. … My only hope is, as we learn about the facts of this indictment next week, that the American people will see that in this case it would meet a high standard necessary to justify the unprecedented federal indictment of a former president of the United States by the current president of the United States Justice Department, and by a potential rival.

In a subsequent development, Pence called upon Attorney General Merrick Garland to unseal the indictment, adding another layer to the unfolding situation. It is worth noting that this request came shortly after an investigation into Pence’s handling of classified documents concluded without any charges being filed against him.

The episode surrounding Pence’s canceled interview and subsequent remarks highlights the ongoing intrigue and political maneuvering surrounding the indictment of former President Donald Trump. As the situation continues to unfold, the American public eagerly awaits further information and clarity regarding the nature of the charges against the former president and their potential implications for the political landscape.
