The legendary pro boxer Mike Tyson recently witnessed the tennis legend Serena Williams working a punchbag. Tyson had won his first 19 professional fights and reigned as undisputed world heavyweight champion for three years from 1987 to 1990. He had praised the Tennis player after watching her training on a punchbag.

After watching Williams training on a punchbag in 2019, Tyson tweeted his admiration.
“Wouldn’t want to get in the ring with this GOAT,” he said.
A video clip has surfaced which is believed to be from 2019 at an annual camp hosted by Williams’ coach of 10 years, Patrick Mouratoglou, which always attracts celebrities in and out of the sporting arena. You can check it out below:
However, Tyson is safe for now as Williams is preoccupied with her tennis career for the foreseeable future, most immediately with Wimbledon, which started this Monday. Williams is set to enter the tournament as a wildcard. She will start her tournament on day two against Harmony Tan, who is ranked 113th in the world. If she’s victorious in a fortnight’s time, the crown will be the 40-year old’s 24th Grand Slam singles title, and seventh title at the All England Club.
Despite the spectacular training workout Tyson gave Williams, it doesn’t look like Iron Mike wants to take up full-time coaching any time soon. ‘Iron Mike’ spoke about the matter on his Hotboxin’ podcast and stated that he didn’t have the patience to wake up every morning for a mentor.
“I don’t have that kind of patience. I’m not gonna wake up every morning, get this guy up, make sure he’s running doing his exercise and all of that stuff.
“I don’t have the time, I have business to do, I don’t have the time to be in the gym every day all day, that’s what a trainer does he’s in the gym that’s the job, every day, all day in the gym. So I’d rather be paid $8 million somewhere than be in the gym every day. Listen when you’re a trainer, you’re a psychiatrist you’re a mother, you’re a father, you’re a step father you’re everything.”
