Mike Tyson Reveals Conor McGregor Bank Payment

The boxing legend Mike Tyson recently issued a warning to the former UFC Double Champion Conor McGregor. ‘Iron Mike’ reckoned that the Irishman will ‘struggle to get out of bed’ after his lucrative £30 million fights.

Mike Tyson explains his statement

McGregor has earned himself highly lucrative deals to fight in the past which made him one of the top earners of the promotion. The Irish mixed martial artist was even named the highest-earning sportsperson of 2021 by Forbes, despite losing both of his two fights during the year. Now, though, former heavyweight boxing world champion Tyson has warned McGregor over his lavish lifestyle as he plots a return to the Octagon after injury.

Speaking on his HotBoxin’ Podcast, Tyson said:

“It’s hard to stay ready with that lifestyle. Have you ever had a $40m fight, then talk to me later. When you got a $40m fight and the week after you have that money, and they are telling you that you have to fight in six weeks it becomes harder to get out of bed. You end up saying ‘how much money is it? Give me $5m more’.”

Tyson’s warning comes after former two-weight UFC champion Georges St-Pierre warned McGregor over his declining stock in the sport back in November. Conor McGregor has been away from action after he suffered a horrendous injury against Dustin Poirier last year. He is training heavily as he is gearing up for his UFC comeback. He is eyeing for a UFC welterweight title fight against champion Kamaru Usman. McGregor is currently recovering from the injury he suffered during the fight. He is expected to be back sometime this year.
