The legendary pro-boxer Mike Tyson recently took to his Instagram account and posted the movie poster of ‘Vendetta,’ in which he is working. It is one of Bruce Willis’ last movies, and he looks unwell in the photo.
Jared Cohn recently labeled ‘Die Hard’ as one of his favorite films, so of course it felt like an honor to get John McClane himself involved in his movie. Bruce Willis stars in Vendetta, written and directed by Cohn, about a man out for revenge against the guy who killed his daughter. According to Cohn, Willis already had a relationship with the producers and so the veteran actor found himself among the company of Clive Standen, Theo Rossi, Thomas Jane, and even Mike Tyson.
Since making the film, Willis’ family revealed the star is stepping away from acting in light of his diagnosis of aphasia, a condition they said was “impacting his cognitive abilities.” The idea that Vendetta could now be one of Willis’ final films feels like “a special honor” to Cohn.
“He is a fantastic actor and great person,” the filmmaker said. “It was an honor to be able to spend some time with him.”
In the movie:
“after his teenage daughter is killed during a random gang initiation, ex-Marine William Duncan (Clive Standen) is left devastated and vengeful when her killer is acquitted and set free. Taking matters into his own hands, he exacts revenge on the gang member, unknowingly sparking a war with the man’s violent brother (Theo Rossi) and father (Bruce Willis). When the two retaliate by then killing his wife and putting William into a coma, he awakens a new man; a man set on revenge with nothing left to lose. Rehabilitated and armed, William begins hunting down members of the gang responsible.”
