At AEW Fyter Fest, Shawn Spears delivered a vicious chair shot to the head of the Executive VP, Cody Rhodes. It was a pretty shocking moment, leaving many quite upset.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, one of Cody’s closest friends in AEW, was one of the first men to rush the ring, hoping to give any assistance he could. We even saw him confront Spears following the incident on the latest Road to Fight for the Fallen on AEW’s official YouTube page. After the event, he was interviewed backstage by reporters, and when asked about the situation, said, “f*** Shawn Spears,” calling him a scumbag. And while he still has unfinished business with Hangman Page, he would love to get his hands on Spears.
Earlier today, though, it was revealed that MJF would indeed be in the ring with him at AEW’s Fight for the Fallen. However, it’ll be in a six-man tag team match, where he’ll be teaming with the man that tried to cave Cody’s skull in.

Needless to say, MJF was a little upset about this decision, one which he apparently wasn’t aware of until it was already made. He’ll join Spears and Sammy Guevara as they take on Jimmy Havoc, Darby Allin, and Joey Janela.
