Money In The Bank match ended early by WWE

WWE Money In The Bank was a night of non-stop action and featured many solid matches. However, one match, in particular, was cut short as the US Title match ended in an odd way.

PW Insider notes that when the referee saw blood on Samoa Joe’s face, the decision to end the match was taken. This certainly explains why Rey Mysterio’s roll-up pin seemed so rushed and botched.

Rey Mysterio is now the United States Champion and fans did not get to see a proper match between Rey and Samoa Joe as something or the other happens between the two that leads to the match becoming short. Last time it was Rey Mysterio suffering from an injury, during their match at Wrestlemania.

While the match was ended quickly, the post-match beatdown was done as planned.
