As noted, Lisa Lee Fox was recently fired from the company recently. She was the former Executive Vice President of Content for the WWE Network.
In an update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer notes that while the reason for her firing is unknown at this time, it may have to do with WWE’s bid on the old Paul Boesch Houston Wrestling tape library.
WWE wanted this tape library for the network and she was in charge of getting that such content, but when NWA’s Bruce Tharpe made the winning bid and got the library instead of WWE, she might have been let go after Tharpe then put the library on the NWA’s streaming service.
