Murphy ‘Upset’ With Bruce Prichard Burying Him

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and Seth Rollins associate Murphy recently took to social media via Twitter to vent his frustration toward his creative direction recently in WWE – or lackthereof. While the tweet in itself did not mention Executive Producer of WWE Smackdown and Raw Bruce Prichard by name, one would have to believe that Murphy’s words were meant for the WWE executive as he said the following. Murphy’s WWE return was cancelled for this surprising reason.

“3 years ago today I debuted on #205live – It sparked my passion for wrestling again after I lost it! What’s going to be my 205 in 2021?”

Murphy was last seen on WWE television taking part in a romance angle with the daughter of the high-flying and dynamic Rey Mysterio which ultimately led to Murphy being accepted as a member of the Mysterio family. However, this storyline was recently dropped and WWE has seemingly has little to nothing for Murphy to do.

Murphy won the WWE Cruiserweight championship in 2018 in his home country of Australia during the inaugural WWE Super Show-Down Pay-Per-View event. During this, he defeated Hurt Business member Cedric Alexander to win his first WWE singles title. Murphy has also been WWE Raw tag team champion in the past as part of a tag team with former WWE Champion, Seth Rollins.
