Mustafa Ali was going to be revealed as the Smackdown hacker until that storyline was dropped by the company. Now it seems he has a new role in WWE.
During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Ali faced MVP in a singles match. Then Retribution made their way out and interrupted the match. They decimated everyone outside the ring while Ali simply watched them.
It became apparent that Ali and Retribution were working together. Following the decimation, Ali posed with Retribution. It was also said by the WWE commentary team that seemed as if Mustafa Ali is “running Retribution.”
Ali eventually took to Twitter and commented on his reveal as the leader of Retribution. He simply said the following:
Some dreams die so others can live.
We will have to see how they will book Ali in this new role.
