Anthony Smith stood above Ryan Spann after their fight at UFC Vegas 37 as he taunted him over and over again. The two then went their separate ways as security stepped in to keep the two at a fair distance. Tension started to rise heavily in the arena as Ryan Spann slowly walked towards Anthony Smith as Anthony Smith asked him: “How was that a** whopping?” to which Spann did not reply. After the head to head that Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann had, the two started walking towards each other telling security that everything was okay and to let them come into contact with one another. Security let this happen, but were still very aware of the situation.
Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann then hugged each other and tapped gloves while pulling each other in closely to say some encouraging words which really made this bout a roller coaster ride to say the very least about it.
Daniel Cormier stated about the altercation that had happened: “I have no problem with the way Anthony Smith just acted when you talk all that sh** and you get beat the way Ryan Spann just got beat we don’t need to shake hands and hug Anthony is an OG and do not play. Really was an easy night for @lionheartasmith great job!!!#UFCVegas37”
