UFC Vegas 30 was without a doubt, a show for the ages as Ciryl Gane defeated Alexander Volkov via unanimous decision in the main event of the evening. Other action saw Tanner Boser defeat Ovince St. Preux via knockout in the second minute of round number two.
During the show’s first fight of the evening – a preliminary fight contest between lightweights Damir Hadžović and Yancy Medeiros, UFC star Nate Diaz took to social media via Twitter to hype up Mederios who refused to quit and had an ultimately strong showing, even taking Hadžović to the ground in the final round. Nate Diaz was offered this surprising UFC retirement fight.
Although Medeiros lost via judges decision, Diaz definitely took notice of the fighter calling him a ‘warrior’, and tweeting: ” @YMedeiros wins the fight idgaf”. Diaz would later add in a second tweet, ” That was a done deal good fight”
UFC fans reacted to Diaz’ posts by putting their own thoughts as Twitter user @Freer_Dan stated: “Like you said, on the street that fight was a wrap. Yo Nate I’m tryna see you ina 10 round fight f*** it” While @xYuKnw said: “Meh he’s on the up. He has to do what he has to do. He aint gotta set the standard.”
