The Kabuki Warriors captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Hell in a Cell earlier this month after Asuka blinded Nikki Cross with green mist. Since then, they’ve beaten the teams of Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair and Natalya & Lacey Evans in back to back victories. As of yet, the champions haven’t been forced to defend their titles. However, next week on NXT they’ll finally put their gold on the line.
William Regal revealed earlier today that we’ll see a #1 contenders match tonight for the belts. Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox, both recently returned from injury, will face off against Marina Shafir & Jessamyn Duke tonight. The winners will go on to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles next week on NXT.

When the belts were introduced, it was stated that they would be defended on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Next week, they’ll finally appear on the Black & Gold brand.
