During a recent interview with TMZ, Wrestlemania 33 hosts The New Day admitted that they had no idea this would be The Undertaker’s last match inside the squared circle:
“You’d be surprised how little we know [while hosting],” Big E admitted.
Big E stated that WWE commentator Corey Graves told him he needed to bite inside of his mouth to prevent himself from crying on TV. They also noted that many Superstars backstage begun to talk about Taker’s impact on the business after his loss. They also spotted ‘The Deadman’ and his wife Michelle McCool at the hotel after the event, and praised The Undertaker for being one of the most respected talents in the company’s history:
“He’s always talked about in this Godfather-like way,” Big E said. “And it’s well earned, everyone always has had such respect for him. At this moment you want to celebrate this great career, but you’re also mourning the end.”
