New Smackdown Women’s Champion crowned

This week’s Smackdown Live turned out to be one full of big surprises. Charlotte Flair walked out and said that she was going to prove why she deserves to compete at the main event of Wrestlemania. Asuka then came out and a match for the Smackdown Women’s Title between Asuka and Charlotte Flair took place.

This certainly was a big surprise and the crowd did not see it coming. This match was a rematch from their excellent Wrestlemania 34 encounter, where Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka to end her undefeated streak. It seems history repeated itself this week as well.

Asuka gave it her all in the match but ultimately, she tapped out to the Figure 8 and Charlotte Flair became SmackDown Women’s Champion. Now it is uncertain what Asuka will do at Wrestlemania.

This also adds an interesting dynamic to the Wrestlemania main event match. We will have to wait until Wrestlemania to see who comes out on top.
